Almost a year after Lincoln came into my studio for his newborn session, I was planning his cake smash. When his mom said his room was in a safari theme, I knew designing a "Wild One" set would be perfect. {Especially since this little one is definitely wild!} Designing cake smash sets are pure joy for me because I can take what you want, and help bring it to life around your little one.
This set was a true labor of love. I painted the backdrop, made the balloon garland, and my husband made the "crate" boxes. It was amazing to see all of the pieces I had envisioned come together so beautifully. Add to that an outfit from my client wardrobe, a stuffed lion that we also used during his newborn session, and a gorgeous cake from Cake, Hope, and Love in Beavercreek, and the set was perfect!
As with all of my Signature Cake Smash sessions, we ended with a bubble bath. Lincoln had so much fun! It was clear that the bath was his favorite, and I loved being able to capture those memories for his parents.
