Let’s be honest—when most women think about boudoir photography, the first thoughts are usually something like:

“I wouldn’t know what to do.”“That sounds awkward.”“I’d probably feel exposed or uncomfortable.”

And honestly? That makes complete sense—especially if you’ve never done anything like this before.

So today, I want to gently walk you through what actually happens during a luxury boudoir session, from start to finish. No mystery. No hype. Just the real experience—so you can decide if this feels right for you.

Consultation & Planning: You’re Never Thrown In

Before you ever step foot in the studio, we talk.

Your consultation is where we slow things down and make sure you feel supported from the very beginning.

We talk about:

  • Why you’re considering a boudoir session

  • Any nerves or hesitations you’re carrying

  • What styles you’re drawn to (and what you’re not)

  • How you want to feel when you see your photos

There’s no pressure to have it all figured out. My job here is to listen, guide, and help shape an experience that feels aligned with you—not someone else’s idea of boudoir.

Wardrobe + Hair & Makeup: You’re Taken Care Of

One of the biggest reliefs clients express is realizing they don’t have to figure everything out on their own.

You’ll receive wardrobe guidance ahead of time so you know what photographs beautifully—and what to bring. And on session day, professional hair and makeup is included so you can relax and settle in while being pampered a bit.

This part of the experience isn’t about changing who you are. It’s about helping you feel polished, comfortable, and confident—like the best version of yourself, not someone unfamiliar.

Posing & Guidance: You Don’t Have to Know What You’re Doing

This is where most women are surprised—in the best way.

You are never expected to know how to pose. I guide you through everything:

  • Where to place your hands

  • How to shift your weight

  • When to breathe

  • How to soften or strengthen a pose

I demonstrate, adjust, and encourage throughout the entire session. You’re not performing—you’re being guided. And we move at a pace that feels supportive, not rushed.

Most clients tell me halfway through, “This feels way easier than I thought.”

The Emotional Transformation: This Is the Part No One Talks About

Somewhere during the session, something shifts.

It’s usually subtle. A deep breath. A laugh. A moment of realization.

This experience isn’t just about photos—it’s about being seen without judgment. About giving yourself permission to take up space. About realizing that the body you’re in right now is worthy of care, attention, and celebration.

Confidence doesn’t walk in the door—it quietly builds as the session unfolds.

After the Boudoir Session: Seeing Yourself Differently

After your session, you’ll return for your image reveal. This is often emotional—in a good way.

You’re not just seeing photos. You’re seeing yourself through a different lens—one rooted in kindness, respect, and appreciation for everything your body has carried you through.

Many women tell me this experience stays with them long after the photos are delivered. It shows up in how they speak to themselves, how they carry themselves, and how they show up in their lives.

If you’ve been curious about boudoir but unsure what it would actually feel like, I hope this gave you clarity.

A luxury boudoir session isn’t about being fearless or confident going in. It’s about being supported, guided, and cared for—every step of the way.

If you’d like to talk through what this could look like for you, I offer private consultation calls. No pressure. Just a conversation to see if this experience feels right.
